Cathodic protection UDCU CPS
General properties:
- It is designed for modernization of diode, diode- thyristor and thyristor cathode protection systems (CPS)
- The UDCU is installed between the output of the modernized CPS and the object subject to cathode protection. Control of the current rate, voltage and protection potential of the object is performed by virtue of angular variation of opening element of the UDCU.
- After modernization the CPS received voltage in the amount of 220V not from the distribution cabinet directly, but in transit through the UDCU, i.e. built-in electricity meter, protective circuit breaker and power contactor (optionally).
- The CPS modernized with the use of the UDCU provides local and remote control and stabilization of output voltage, current rate and protection potential of the pipe lines and other metal constructions, and also measurement parameters of the cathodic protection and their transmission to the operations control station (OCS) and other external devices.
Technical specifications:
- It is climatic version performed under location environmental class 1.1 according to the GOST 15150-69 and is to be used in the closed unoccupied areas with no heating.
- It is designed for continuous round-the-clock operation
- It is resistant to internal and external faults
- It resumes operation automatically under prefixed control parameters after restoration of power supply in case of discontinuity.
- Transfer of information to the OCS is performed via digital cellular system on the GSM standard in channel and packet modes
- Operating life not less than 25 years
- It is possible to connect the UDCU group into the unified system and to provide automatic support of the protection potential throughout the pipe line.
